DR ZHIVAGO BY BORIS PASTERNAK

Life of a Russian doctor/poet who, although married, falls for a political activist’s wife and experiences hardships during the Bolshevik Revolution.
From the book:
“…All of the evil happened when people stopped listening to the voices of individuals. It became old-fashioned to have personal beliefs. Everyone hand to sing the same tune and follow the same leader. everything was touched by this new ^law^: friendship, families, marriages, as well as politics. No one could act naturally, and so the individual was destroyed…”
That was one of my favourite part of the book, its a movie as well.
